90-minute online seminar with Tec4Fuels managing director Dr. Klaus Lucka

The operational reliability of emergency power systems is an important factor for companies and institutions in numerous industries in order to ensure the necessary supply of electrical energy in the event of a power outage. This serves, among other things, to protect human life and health, to prevent material damage, such as to technical infrastructure, and to prevent immaterial damage, such as the loss of data. Regular maintenance and test runs of motors and generators of the plants guarantee the operational reliability of the emergency power supply. The fuels of emergency power systems also require special attention during maintenance. As so-called standby fuels, they are often stored in emergency power systems for years. However, their chemical properties mean that they can only be stored for a limited period. During refueling, new fuel mixes with aged stocks. The resulting critical fuel quality means that the reliable operational readiness of emergency power systems cannot be guaranteed in all cases. This is a risk that should not be underestimated.

In a 90-minute online seminar organized by the German Society for Economic Cooperation (DGWZ), Tec4Fuels Managing Director Dr. Klaus Lucka will provide operators of emergency power systems and their representatives with the necessary background knowledge and valuable tips for safeguarding fuel quality on May 24, 2022. It will enable participants to determine the required intervals for fuel checks, take quality assurance measures, select suitable fuels and condition them for typical storage periods, so that you can also ensure the operational reliability of emergency power systems in terms of fuel.
