14 August 2020 – The European fuel oil association Eurofuel and the National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA) from the USA will be organizing a virtual conference on the topic “Future of liquid energy sources” for the first time this year. Every Wednesday on four consecutive dates (19 August to 9 September) from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. CEST, representatives from politics, business and science will present current projects, studies and plans on how liquid energy sources can contribute to achieving climate protection targets in the future. On the first day (19 August), the focus will be on the overarching energy policy framework in the USA and the EU; on the second day (26 August), the focus will be on the legal and regulatory framework. This will be followed by two technical sessions: on 2 September with a focus on the different production paths for renewable fuels and finally on 9 September a discussion of the requirements for future heating appliance technology.

Dr. Klaus Lucka and Simon Eiden from TEC4FUELS GmbH will each give a presentation in the “Technical session on fuels” on 2 September:

Klaus Lucka: “Introduction to low-carbon liquid fuels” at 15:10

Simon Eiden: “Approach to Fuel Quality” at 17:35

Interested parties are cordially invited to participate. Participation is possible for all as well as selected sessions.
